The Canonical Books

We include in the Holy Scripture the two volumes of the Old and New Testaments. These are the canonical books about which there can be no dispute at all.

In the church of God the list is as follows:

The five books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. Then Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, the Psalms. The three books of Solomon: Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs. The four major prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah with Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel. The twelve minor prophets: Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi.

The four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. Then Acts. The fourteen letters of Paul: Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, and Hebrews. Then the letter of James, the two letters of Peter, the three letters of John, the letter of Jude, and Revelation.
